NeuroEndocrine Cancer New Zealand

Presenter agreement

Thank you for giving your time to record a session for people living with neuroendocrine cancer. These are the terms we ask every presenter to agree to, so the recordings stay useful, safe and independent.

Presenter Agreement: NECNZ Video Recordings

This Presenter Agreement ("Agreement") sets out the terms under which the Presenter agrees to participate in video recordings organised by Neuroendocrine Cancer New Zealand ("NECNZ") for the benefit of neuroendocrine cancer patients and their whānau and support networks.

By signing this Agreement, the Presenter agrees to the following:

  1. 1. Patient Privacy and Registration

    • To comply with the NECNZ's obligations under the Privacy Act (2020), NECNZ will manage all patient registrations and communications relating to access to the recordings.
    • The Presenter will not be provided with, and must not request or seek, patient diagnoses, medical histories, contact details, or other personal or health information unless expressly authorised by NECNZ and permitted by applicable privacy requirements.
    • Patient information and registration details remain under the management and control of NECNZ.
  2. 2. No Medical or Exercise Advice

    • The Presenter must not provide individualised medical, clinical, therapeutic, rehabilitation, nutrition, fitness, or exercise advice to patients as part of the recording.
    • Where relevant, the Presenter may provide general educational information, but must make clear that patients should seek advice from their own appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding their individual circumstances.
    • The Presenter must not diagnose, assess, prescribe, recommend specific treatment or exercise programmes, or otherwise provide advice that could reasonably be interpreted as being specific to an individual patient's medical condition.
  3. 3. Contact Between Patients and Presenter

    • Patients who wish to contact, consult with, or otherwise connect with the Presenter following a recording must do so through NECNZ.
    • The Presenter must not invite patients to contact them directly, collect patient contact details, or establish direct patient relationships arising from the recording, unless this has been expressly arranged and approved by NECNZ.
    • Where appropriate, NECNZ may facilitate an introduction between a patient and the Presenter.
  4. 4. Unbranded Presentations

    • All presentations and recorded content must be unbranded and independent of any commercial organisation.
    • The Presenter must not display, wear, refer to, or otherwise promote company branding, logos, products, services, websites, social media accounts, promotional materials, or other commercial identifiers during the recording, unless expressly approved in writing by NECNZ.
    • The content should be presented for the educational and informational benefit of the intended patient audience and not as a representation of or promotion for the Presenter's employer, business, organisation, or other commercial interests.
  5. 5. Recording Ownership and Use

    • All video recordings made under this Agreement will be organised and recorded by, or on behalf of, NECNZ.
    • The recordings, including the resulting video, audio, presentation materials incorporated into the recording, and associated edited versions, will remain the property of NECNZ, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be transferred.
    • The Presenter grants NECNZ permission to record, edit, reproduce, store, publish, distribute, and make the recording available to the intended patient audience for the purposes of NECNZ's programme.
    • The Presenter must not independently copy, distribute, publish, sell, licence, or otherwise commercially use the recording without NECNZ's prior written consent.
  6. 6. No Advertising or Commercial Promotion

    • The Presenter must not use the recording as an opportunity to advertise, market, endorse, solicit business for, or otherwise promote any commercial product, service, business, organisation, programme, or professional practice.
    • This includes direct or indirect promotion of the Presenter's own or another person's commercial services.
    • The Presenter must not provide promotional discount codes, sales offers, booking links, commercial contact details, or calls to purchase or engage commercial services as part of the recording.
  7. 7. Presenter Responsibility

    • The Presenter agrees to comply with this Agreement and to ensure that the content they provide is appropriate for the diversity of the neuroendocrine cancer patient audience.
    • The Presenter acknowledges that the recording is intended to provide general educational information and is not a substitute for individual medical advice or care.
    • NECNZ may request that content be amended, removed, or re-recorded where it considers that the content does not comply with this Agreement or the intended purpose of the programme.
  8. 8. Acceptance

    • By signing below, the Presenter confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with the terms of this Agreement.
