Would you share your story?
Part of what we do is to help all New Zealanders affected by neuroendocrine cancer share their experiences. A personal story gives insight, strength and hope to someone who has just heard the words for the first time.
A few words is enough
Do you have a piece of advice for someone starting on their NETs journey? We’re inviting our community to share their stories. Whether you’d like to tell your whole story or just something you’ve learned along the way, it can help others feel a little less alone, and we’d love to help you share it.
What happens next
- Avril, our specialist NET nurse, reads what you’ve sent and gets in touch within a couple of days.
- You can write it yourself, or talk it through with Avril on a recorded Zoom – whichever suits you. Plenty of people find talking easier.
- We may make minor edits for length, clarity or formatting, while staying true to what you wrote.
- You see the final version before it goes anywhere, and you decide what stays in, what comes out, and what name we use.
- You can change your mind at any point, including after it’s published.
Not sure what a story looks like? Read Lou’s, or browse the others in the Knowledge Hub. Yours doesn’t need to be long, or finished, or tidy.
